Welcome

Bart Kremer
2008 Exchange Student from The Netherlands

Our current inbound exchange student Bart Kremer comes from Middenmeer, a town of about 3,000 in The Netherlands.  Middenmeer is located in a polder (land reclaimed from the sea), in the Province of North Holland, about one hour north of Amsterdam.

Bart’s Dad Jan is a Rotarian who works in the seed business and his Mom Mieke is a “family manager”, who looks after Bart and his two brothers, as well as three family cats.  Bart is currently attending Western Canada High School, and plans to study design and engineering after his exchange.

Back home, Bart is a “scooter kid” and his hobbie is fixing mopeds.  He also loves snowboarding, which he is able to do once a year when his family travels to the Alps. In Canada, he has been introduced to hiking in the Rockies, and was able to photograph a cougar during an outing with the Calgary South Partners.

Bart is a great kid who would love to do lots of snowboarding this winter.  He can be reached through his counselor Heinrich Heinz at 403-278-8352.
