Heng Krailerkoran - Thailand and Luisa Silva - Brazil

Heng Krailerkoran arrived in Calgary on September 24th from Bangkok, Thailand. He is 17 years old, will be 18 on December 15. He is attending Henry Wise Wood School in grade 12. Currently his host parents are Al and Audrey Pearce. Heng has an older sister - Gloy (23), an older brother, Geng (26) and a younger brother, Dee (15). Dee is also on a Rotary exchange in Iowa. Heng's parents own a picture framing company where his older siblings also work. Gloy and Geng have also spent time in North America to learn English. Heng loves playing basketball (recreationally) and computer games, also bowling. He is very good at Math but has difficulty with English. He is pretty quiet by nature but is very polite, helpful and easy to get along with. Our snowfall in October was the first snow Heng has ever seen. The picture of Heng was taken at the top of Sulphur Mountain in Banff.

Luisa Silva , from Brazil arrived Feb14, 2004 and will depart Jan 09 2005. Luisa celebrated her 17 birthday on Aug 13. She has two brothers who have both been on Rotary exchanges. Her host families to date include Janet & Brain Wright and Hienrich & Ursula Heinz. She is now staying with Kate & Trevor Stott ( Kate is the daughter of Hyland Thompson). Luisa likes to cook, swim, and has taken up skiing since she got to Calgary. She speaks 3 other languages besides her native Portuguese. Luisa is very out going and an easy person to get to know. Her family will be hosting a student from the USA when she gets back in Jan. |
